Class Description:
8 hr class
Firefighter Survival and RIT Operations
Saving our own.
Firefighter Survival and RIT training that is a realistic approach utilizing the crews already inside of the structure.
This session is a must for any member operating on the fireground and promises to be physically and mentally challenging.
When a MAYDAY is heard, each team member is pushed both physically and mentally.
This course will train members as they perform their duties under realistic conditions.
During the 8hr course, students will rotate through multiple hands on skill stations, each challenging the student to better prepare themselves to save one of their own.
Thanks to the help from Sterling Rope Company and True North, students will have the opportunity to use the most up to date survival and RIT equipment available.
Students should expect a physical day and be prepared with full PPE (personal harness recommended) included a S.C.B.A.
